A Portuguese client purchased 9YDB-60 silage packing machine for silage storage

This past May, a farm manager from Portugal contacted us via our website, seeking a silage packing machine suitable for storing local forage silage.

The client grows forage and raises cattle and sheep. He needed to store large amounts of forage and corn stalks for winter feed.

Previously, silage was stored in the open air, which often led to moisture damage and spoilage during the rainy season. To improve storage quality, the client decided to purchase a silage packing machine.

    Requirements discussion

During discussions, the client focused on three key issues:

    • Whether the bales are easy to transport and stack.
    • Whether the equipment can meet the continuous operation requirements.
    • Whether the operating system is user-friendly for local workers.

Based on the ranch size and daily processing capacity requirements provided by the client, we recommended the 9YDB-60 silage packing machine.

During the configuration finalisation stage, the client made two specific requests:

    • First, they wanted the PLC control system to feature an all-English interface for ease of use by operators.
    • Second, they requested the addition of a bale-counting function to track daily output.
    • Our technical team carried out the necessary customisations to meet these requirements.

    Machine performance test before delivery

Once the silage packing machine was manufactured, the technical team conducted commissioning and test runs, recording a video of the process to send to the client.

During testing, the silage baling and wrapping machine successfully performed baling, wrapping, and counting operations. We proceeded to pack and ship the equipment only after the client confirmed his satisfaction.

    Project summary

This silage baler machine has completed the baling process and is ready for shipment. The unit is intended for silage storage at a livestock farm; the client will use the silage packing machine to process forage and corn stalks, thereby reducing the feed losses associated with traditional storage methods.
